Brook is back

Brook Martinez of the Brooklyn Qawwali Party (originally Brook’s Qawwali Party) is back with the band and they will be performing this Saturday (Feb 17) at Barbes in Brooklyn. An announcement about the event and BQP happenings is given below.

"Yeh jo halka halka suroor hai" is a really nice piece. Maybe I’ll play the version by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan on my next Sangam program on March 05, 2007. Tune in for that show (www.kfai.org). I’ll post the playlist when we get closer to the show date.
