Nine Lives

Here are some links to Dalrympliana related to Nine Lives:

(Ha! They do call it "In Search of the Sacred in Modern South Asia" rather than "In Search of the Sacred in Modern India" as is in the book title.)

Shah Abdul Latif

Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai

A link to translations of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai's poetry is here
and here.

This is a nice rendition by Allan Faqir of Shah Abdul Latif's kalaam; note that he sings an Urdu translation of it.

Lal Shahbaz Qalandar

he images of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar below are from a write-up by Dr. Jürgen Wasim Frembgen's on the Sahapedia website. Note the syncretic elements (Christian, Hindu, and Muslim, in the second image). Dr. Frembgen has worked extensively in Pakistan and written several books on the anthropological aspects of Sufism e.g. "Nocturnal Music in the Land of the Sufis".

Here is a website for Lal Shahbaz's shrine: http://jhoolelal.com/
